pumping at night

So Alex is starting to sleep somewhere between 6-8 hours at a time during the night. I am very thankful for this as I can start getting some sleep, however, should I be waking up to pump? When he wakes up during the night, he usually just feeds from one side so the other side can go anywhere from 9-12 hours with out being pumped or nursed.

    Unless you are dealing with low supply or trying to build up a large stash, I wouldn't worry about it.  I'd just go off of LO's cues and your body will adjust to his schedule.

    I agree.  I have never pumped in the middle of the night and it has never affect my supply.  Besides, the more sleep I can get, the better!

    I agree...if you pump in the middle of the night - your'e just telling the boobies that you need milk in the middle of the night.  I'd get some sleep and enjoy it!!!
