So I've decided to be a skeleton for halloween - tried and true, and will be easy to be comfortable. I'm thinking I'll get this shirt in longsleeve - and now working on what else I should get to complete the costume.
I'd like to get or make some skeleton pants - but failing that, black yoga-type pants will work.
Maybe some skeleton gloves? Skeleton shoe-toppers?
WDYT?
Re: help w/ my costume
I would try to find skeleton pants, otherwise I'm sure black yoga pants would work, and some gloves.
To be honest though I can't decide if that top is funny or kind of creepy. Skeleton baby makes me think dead baby, sorry. The other girls here at work think it's funny though, so probably just me
yeah, my husband's not a fan. he'll get over it though - all of his suggestions were just way too redneck for me. his latest and greatest? he'd be hugh hefner and I'd be his knocked up playboy bunny. I had to veto that and explain that I was NOT going out in public in maternity lingerie.
There are some other shirts out there that are more realistic and totally creep me out - like this one.
Maybe I'll do a cute little black skirt and some skeleton-print tights, since my legs are pretty much my only sexy body part these days.

ooh that ebay one is more creepy... comparatively the etsy one is more cutesy
I love the skirt and tights idea. I agree with you, leave Hugh and his bunny fantasy in the bedroom
I'm trying to get DH to be Barney Rubble so I can be Betty and Aiden can be Bamm Bamm but he's being lame and refuses to dress up at all.
What is your DH going as?
Not sure yet - last year we were Caesar and Cleopatra. He's going to have to figure something out this year - maybe I'll make him be the grim reaper or something. What goes with a pregnant skeleton??

Ooh, I think I like this one even better.

I was thinking of having DH dress as Jack the Pumpkin King from Nightmare Before Christmas. This is a nice costume.
That's a tough one. I honestly don't know.
cute, but since you're having a boy cdobry01, wouldn't that be weird? unless people don't know? lol.
I'm doing the cheesiest thing possible and getting an orange fitted shirt and putting a felt jack-o-lantern face on the belly - the baby will be a pumpkin! haha. I'm going to wear leggings and there we go. That's if I even go out this year - my friends always have crazy fun parties, but they're sooo packed.
hehe! yes, I'd go with this one

This is too funny, we're either going to go as fred, wilma, and pebbles. or my latest idea: Monsters Inc. DH: Sully Emma: Boo Me: Mike and i would paint my belly with an eyeball.
Here's a site for some cute maternity shirts... they're just starting to come out with some Halloween stuff; haven't browsed through the new stuff yet.

Agreed. I still don't think I'd do the baby skeleton, but it's not as creepy.
I don't find it creepy personally, because my first thought is it is like an x ray-not that you're dead (unless you were wearing a mask or something).
If you went with that angle, you could make your DH wear scrubs and be a doctor.
OMG. I love this. Then I could be totally comfy in jeans and uggs, because now that I'm just an x-ray, I really only need the shirt! I'm a happy girl.
Bonus, my husband is totally on board now. Way less morbid.
Thanks!
