Swimsuits

Hi~

I am about 17 weeks and am getting close to needing a bigger swimsuit.  I swim as part of my exercise routine.

Does anyone have a good place to buy a maternity swimsuit?  I have looked online at a few maternity stores, but they are all tankinis and "cute" bathing suits.  I need more of an athletic swimming one.  Thanks.

Re: Swimsuits

  • I looked EVERYWHERE for a suit that I could swim laps in throughout my pregnancy. I had no luck with one pieces, so I ended up buying a triathlon suit--a two piece raceback with a high neck (my bustline is out of control :) ) I actually got mine on Ebay from a seller who had Zoot brand suits. However, there are a ton of sites out there with many different options. Happy swimming!

  • Ha I lifeguarded at a water park in Orlando up until 39 wks and I wore my speedo the entire time. I only ended up going up one size from my pp size. I did wear mine every day so it stretched pretty well, but I was surprised at how comfortable it was even though it definitely wasn't cut for maternity wear. Depending on how often you wear your suit and how big you get, you might be able to just get away with that. I even found that having it fit a little tighter on my belly was actually really comfortable. The support seemed to help me not feel as giant and jiggly lol.
