We go to gymboree and run errands but I find that he gets bored frequently at home...I recently have started rotating his toys so he doesnt get sick of them but man are we in a rut!!! How do you guys fill the hours? TIA!
DD is pretty good at helping me clean - she'll help me shut the dishwasher door, the fridge door, the pantry door... she seems to be entertained doing helpful things for Mama... have you tried that out yet? Other than that, we play, go for small walks, watch some Elmo on YouTube, etc.
I guess I'm lucky that DD doesn't tire of her toys! I try to rotate them out as well and certain toys are designated as living room toys and nursery toys so it makes it even fresher. It also helps that she just had her birthday so she got new shiny things to play with. We used to do Gymboree too but now she has swim class 2x a week for 2 months and starting in October I have her enrolled in a Mommy & Me class that's once a week until April. We're also part of a parent group that I found on meetup.com so they offer activities to join us as well. We're also going to check out storytime at the library this Wednesday!
I have a lot of luck with the cleaning stuff too. DD loves closing doors and handing me things to put away. Otherwise I also let her play in the tupperware drawer. She like to match the lids to the containers.

When he gets tired of following me around "helping out" I put in the Wiggles he loves them and he's up dancing and moving around so I don't feel bad about him just watching tv. We also take 2 walks a day one in the morning and one at night or go for a swim. He is a very busy boy so I have to keep him moving or he gets in to everything.
