Carseat vent/?

Why do they make carseats with fabric that doesn't breathe? I understand it is easy to clean but dang, my kid is always so sweaty when I get him out of his carseat! Even when he isn't in it for long. I feel bad for him. It's got to be uncomfortable!

    The plastic and foam underneath doesn't breathe, either. So not sure the fabric makes a difference... I think they try to pick stuff that is easy to clean. But very frustrating nonetheless since it is hard to get good air flow to LO when rear-facing. Sorry :(

    Yeah your prob right but I wonder if one of those car seat covers, like the ones sold on etsy for example tht are made out of different fabrics, would breathe any better? Any experience with them?

    No personal experience and I don't recommend them. Any after-market changes or additions to a carseat voids the warranty and makes the carseat potentially unsafe. Crash tests were done with that cover - so no one can guarantee that your LO will be safe with a different cover that may be thicker/thinner or more or less absorbent during impact...

    that's what I thoughts but I just curious what you thought too. I'm looking forward to some cooler weather!
