Babies: 9 - 12 Months

What is the time frame of LO's birthday party?

We are inviting 70 or so people and it will be at a clubhouse.  Just wondering what time frame I should put on the invite?  I am thinking 3 - 6, but not sure if that will be enough time for everything?!?

  • I don't know what you hasve planned but I wouldn't say longer than three hours. That would be a lot for baby to handle. I went to two different parties that were four hours, one the birthday boy went ballistic cause he was tired and didn't do the cake thing, the other one a lot of the guests took off before cake was even cut.

Yeah three hours does even seem like a lot, but I think that is what we will need for everything that I have planned.  Thanks :)

  • We are doing ours from 12-3... I didn't want to go longer than 3 hours because Jackson starts to get cranky.  We are having about 100 people at a restaurant.

  • We aren't putting an end time on the party. The party starts at 3 and people can stay as long as they want.  Lilly will, however, get her bath, books, nurse and be down (as usual) at 7:30.  (This is what we have done for other parties and it has worked out well for Lilly).

  • I wish I could have it at my house so DD could go to sleep or take a nap if she needed. I live 2 hours away from all of my friends and family so a clubhouse is where we have to have it.  I'm SO excited tho to start really planning it and buying stuff for the party!!

  • I don't think it's necessary to put an end time on an invitation. We're starting at 3 p.m. and I assume the party will last probably three hours or so.

  • We are doing the golfclubhouse that my Dh is a memeber of. I am booking from 1-4 for party but asking to get in at 12:00 to decorate. We will have 60+

  • We are doing 1-3 PM. We are having about 50 people but aren't planning many activities. The birthday parties in my family tend to last about 2 hours and it seems sufficient. Plus DD usually naps by 4 so I am hoping to get her home by then to nap.

  • We also have about 100 people and the party is starting at 1 pm. I thinking it will be over around 4. We have a moon bounce and a face painter so I am thinking if people want to stay a little longer they can but activities end at 4.
