Low Progesterone?

So I just got a call from my MW that she is prescribing Prometrium for me to take until I am 11/12 weeks based on my blood work from Tues. She said my progesterone level was borderline at a 13.something and that this might be the reason I miscarried in July. Any else have/had low progesterone levels and taken prometrium before? I asked her about the side effects and they don't seem bad but just wondering.

    I did with Genevieve. I took it for about six weeks. I had no side effects. I really think that low progesterone was the reason I miscarried the first time. Mine was really low.

    I just finished a 10 day script of prometrium in order to jumpstart AF and I didn't have any side effects. I know there are lots of IF girls who have taken it or currently take it and I have never seen anyone list any side effects. If you are taking it vaginally I know they all say to wear a panty liner becuase it can get a little messy but other than that no horror stories.

    You will probably be doing it as a suppository. It can get messy so I would reccomend wearing a liner.  When taking it as a suppository I really had no side effects. Taking it orally on the other hand I was a loopy & bitchy mess.  If you do have to take it orally always take it before bed.  It made me like a drunk and extremely tired.

    Look at my sig below.  My Progesterone levels never went to 13 and I stayed on Prometrium until week 13.  I am 22 weeks now and have a very healthy baby girl hiccuping and kicking and rolling inside my belly right now.  I never had to take it with my boys but possibly it may have been the cause to my 3 losses.

    I am taking the pill form and supposed to take it 4 times a day. So far I've taken it twice yesterday and once this morning. The first time I took it I did mkde me dizzy and really tired all of the sudden. But didn't really feel anything the 2nd and 3rd time taking it. Hopefully I won't have any symptoms. I guess more blood work will be taken at my next appt. on the 28th when we also get the dating u/s.
