Doctor Recommendation

Hi Ladies,

I need your help finding a new primary care doctor.  I am having some issues with my thyroid and hormones after having my baby in February that I am having a hard time resolving.  I need a primary care doctor that will take their time, listen to me and help me navigate this issue....my current doctor is NOT that person.  Do any of you have a doctor that you love?  I would like to find someone with a holistic/natural approach if possible and  I would prefer a female doctor but I am flexible.  I would also love someone on the west side of town but I am willing to drive for the right person.  I have blue cross blue shield insurance.  I would really really appreciate your recommendation.  If you could also let me know a little bit about the doctor and what you like about them that would be great.

    Hey, did you see my message on Facebook about Dr. Scott? Seriously, check her out.  She's REALLY good.  Mike and I both loved her SO MUCH.  But she left the Providence clinic we were going to, and I haven't really had a need for a primary care doctor since having Morgan..

    I loved that Dr. Scott really DID listen to all of my concerns and if she felt that she couldn't fix whatever my problem was, she told me the best specialist to see rather than spending time running test after test.. But if she felt like she COULD fix my problem, she worked hard to do it.  I have a really rare skin disease that she had never heard of, but she spent some a lot of time looking it up and reading up on it before referring me to a dermatologist.  The one she referred me to knew all about it and knew exactly what to do to fix it.

    I don't know any Drs, but is that W's Halloween costume?  So adorable.  She is gorgeous!

    Joleine....that info helps....I will definitely look into Dr. Scott.  Kat...it's not her Halloween costume, it was actually for a costume party we went to last month.  Thanks....we think she is pretty lovely too......so is Miss Ryn;)  My husband was telling me how pretty she was after August's party.

    We loved Dr Jennifer Lochner at OHSU's Family Medicine (South Waterfront). She's a great listener, very calm, knowledgeable, personable, loves to answer questions. Our health insurance changed to Kaiser, otherwise we'd definitely still be seeing her. We loved the whole clinic, actually. Sniff. Still miss it.
