After spending two hours at the doctor's office for lower right quadrant pain, and finally getting sent home, the NP comes in and says "oh, and by the way, your pregnancy test was negative. Better luck next time." and walks out before I could even say anything.
This after I told her I was trying to get pregnant! How insensitive can people be?!

WOW... maybe I'm a biotch, but I would be calling her boss, my doctor, FIRST THING in the morning to politely inform him or her that your nurse needs some remedial "bedside manner" training - STAT.
I have friends who are nurses who would be loathe to talk to their patients like that. What a piece of shizz.

Usually I am an in-your-face kind of person, but I was so stunned I didn't even know what to do. She didn't even tell me if they had tested my blood when it was in the lab or just did a pee stick. On my way out, I asked the other (much friendlier) nurse, and she told me they hadn't done a blood test. Just a sucky end to a sucky day.
