    ummm.... THAT was the worst storm I've ever seen...  There are trees up EVERYWHERE and during the worst of it, Peter, Mari and I had to take cover in the hallway because the only thing we could see out of our windows were branches hitting them...

    Then last night we took Mari into our bed (like that doesn't happen every night) because at least we have a bit of protection with the fire escape out our window.  

    Peter's cousin Vicky was stuck so long on the highway because of downed trees and a horrible accident, that she literally parked on the side of the road and ran home, HA!

    I heard that they're evaluating whether or not it was a tornado!  Despite it being scary, I'm glad to hear that you are all OK.  We are seriously having the craziest weather these days.

    I heard that there was a woman that died that did the same thing.  She parked her car on the side of the the road and was struck by lightening when walking (or running!)  I think that's what happened anyway.

    I heard about this crazy storm on the news this morning! I was like HOLY COW!! They said the city looked like "Gotham City" with this big black storm cloud over it....EEKS!

    thanks for asking! we're fine. i actually went out in the storm! it was my first time out without nia. my friend from luxembourg was in town for his art exhibit and i haven't seen him in years. anyway, on my way out the door nia was scared by the thunder and cried. it was so sad! it was just raining while i was out so it wasn't too bad. i haven't seen any damage here in harlem.
