Try not to give up ladies!

I know it can be easier said than done. But it is so true about "it just clicks". I was off with dd for the summer and couldn't stay in for 3 days cause we always wanted to be out so I used July & August and trained at a slow pace. 2 weeks ago Liv was still having that one accident a day and no poop on the potty. Then one day she just started going on her own all by herself. She hasn't had any pees accidents and she started pre school last week and actually started pooping on the potty too. So just when you wanna give up hope , don't!!! They will get it and I wanna thank you ladies for the support and positivity that I received from you! I really appreciate it

    Thanks for the encouragement!  I was just scrolling through and reading old posts and saw your "F this potty training" post from a month ago....that's exactly how I feel right now.  It's good to know that things will likely get better for me too!  I am so ready to give up, but I'm gonna stick it out!

    Thank you for the post! My little is three years, and still not fully trained. We had some set backs. She keeps crying everytime she sits on the potty now. And I was so frustrated, but we decided to give her time. She seems happy right now... but, I know it'll take time.

    I agree with you 100%.  I tried the 3-day PT the weekend of July 4th.  I thought it "worked", but 2 weeks later she started refusing the potty.  From there, we started going at a slower pace.  Labor day weekend I decided to try the 3-day PT method again.  It worked after 2 days and she has been accident free since.  She goes on her own, empties the potty in the toilet, washes her hands and put the seat back in the potty.  As for poop, she will only do it if nobody is in the room (only I can be there when she poops), so she holds it all day until I get home from work.  My guess is that she will get it eventually.  It did just click during labor day weekend though, and I am so happy I kept at it.
