How long did you do it?
What made you decide to stop?
How did the transition go?
C has outgrown his Halo Swaddle (he's been too long for it for a while but sleeps with his legs bent so we just kept using it, now its just too small) and the large SwaddleMe is too big so he's breaking out.
I think he's breaking out in the morning hours as he starts to wake up but I'm not sure. I don't know if this is a sign to just not swaddle at all or if its only because the SwaddleMe is a little big/can't get tight enough.
I'm just so used to the easy to bed, stay asleep 10 hours routine we've had that I don't want to mess it up but I have to break the swaddle eventually.
Re: If you swaddled...
We stopped at about 3 months since she was fighting to get out of the swaddle hence delaying when she fell asleep. We started using the Halo sleep sacks instead and it was sweet bliss.
And FWIW, our break the 8-10 hours straight sleep routine ended at about 5 months when teething hell kicked in. Yay. Still no teeth so me hopes it ends soon.
We stopped swaddling at about 4 1/2 months during the horrid 4 month wakeful period. Evan wasn't the best sleeper before the 4 month wakeful, so we took that opportunity to stop swaddling and using the sleep positioner.
About a week after that Evan rolled back to tummy and has been a tummy sleeper ever since. We now get about 11 hours with only occasional night wakings due to teething.

we stopped when she was breaking free of it - I think we did a loose swaddle for a few nights then stopped all together. Never phased her.
I don't remember what age it was though, maybe like 6 months when we transitioned to the crib?

We stopped swaddling at 3mo early on because he would breakout and even tried several swaddle-me's. Those didn't work either no matter how tight he'd figure a way to get his hands in between the velcro. I do have a new large woombie (14 lbs+) if you would like it (never been opened.)
Personally IMO I would start the deswaddling process. He will soon be rolling over and moving so much that you won't be using them. Then comes more challenges!
Cali- we went through a month of teething hell and it is just now breaking through. Still no relief during the night with wakings. Last night I swear he was practicing sitting up in the crib. Hope it's better for you all!!
we swaddled until about 3 or 4 months, but gave up on getting her arms in after she was about 2 weeks old. she was a little houdini baby that got her arms out every.single.time.
we just used sleep sacks instead.
thanks everyone, we are on night two, last night i heard him wake up several times but he soothed himself right back to sleep.
With Sam, we swaddled for about 3 months I think. When he started breaking out of it every time, I decided to try putting him down without swaddling, and he was fine.
With Hannah, we swaddled for maybe a month, but she kept breaking out the whole time. Turned out that she wanted to sleep on her stomach. She's still a stomach sleeper to this day.
