Re: Thankful Thursday

  • I am thankful that I am going to cali in a week. Sun, pool and family!!! I'm going to miss M and the hubs but mommy needs a break.

  • Regarding Dawn's post, I am thankful that my dad voluntarily gave up smoking 2 packs a day + a pipe when he and my mom got married.

Also I'm thankful that Jamie is actually taking a nap. I don't know what's going on, but the last couple of weeks have been tough.

Finally, I'm thankful for my best best friend. It is so great to be able to talk to him about anything, have his unconditional love, share the same interests, and raise our beautiful boy together, knowing that whatever the future brings, he'll be there.

  • I'm thankful for my running group. In the past 1.5 years they've provided me much needed inspiration and encouragement so that I could become the athlete I am today. I would not be able to self-motivate myself to do my training runs without them holding me accountable. I am also grateful that my body is able to handle the somewhat unnatural stress I am putting it through right now, with relatively few aches and pains. (I hope this doesn't jinx my 20 mile run this weekend.) I'm obvously getting excited about my marathon next month and have been thinking to myself a lot lately about how just a year ago I never imagined doing this.

  • I love threads like these!

I am thankful to have a supportive work environment.  I am able to pump during my lunch hour in privacy and I can bring LO to work if I need to.

I am thankful for my parents who willingly take care of LO while DH and I are at work.

I am thankful for my health, my family, a home, and support from family and friends.

Sounds like you're also starting to really enjoy it, too, K! :-)

I'm thankful that I only have 2 more days to wait for my beta.  14 days (really 11 since the ET) is a very long time when you're anxious for news that will change your life!!!

I'm thankful that my mom has been pretty stable and tolerating her weekly chemo for a while now.  I'm also thankful that my dad went in for a full physical (hadn't in years).  They found 2 issues, one of which could possibly be bad.  He's following Dr's orders for further testing. I'm glad he is b/c he can be stubborn and pretend health issues aren't as important as they are.

And I'm thankful that my IRL friends still want me around despite changing my lifestyle, being a hermit most of the time, and mentally being all-TTC-all-the-time.  :-p

  • I'm also thankful that the whole season of Jersey Couture is being aired today.  For some reason, the finale never recorded for me last time and it hasn't been replayed since.  Maybe this should have been a confession b/c I don't know why I got hooked on that show! :-)

  • I'm thankful for my baby boy who is turning 1 today! I can't believe how he made my world so much more wonderful in such a short time. He is my heart and soul and I love him so much. He truly is the best things I have ever made in my life. Thank you Ryder for being you.
  • I am thankful for celebrating 5 years (8 total) with my best friend and partner in crime.
  • I'm thankful that today is my Friday! Granted I only get one day off but its still a day off. I'm exhausted and in need of a day to just do nothing at all.

I'm also thankful for ultrasounds and knowing that there is a strong healthy baby in there and all this sickness isn't just in my head.

  • I am thankful for a really good friend of mine who is a personal trainer. We traded services and she is working me out 3-4 days a week...its kicking my butt and I feel like I'm going to puke but I am so thankful she has offered to do this! She is so good at what she does :) I hoping that by her keeping me accountable, I'll really be able to stick to it and win the "battle of the bulge" this time!

  • I'm having a sentimental pregnant day today:

I'm thankful that I'm so close to meeting my baby girl! I really can't believe how fast the time has gone by!

I'm thankful that I'm pregnant. We are coming up on the day I started my m/c last year and I was fretting about it a little. The fact that I'm having this baby in the very near future really helps me feel confident right now.

I'm thankful for my awesome family and in-laws who are all very excited and anxious to meet Maddy too.

Aww!  I've thought about this, too.  If I'm pg and it's a singleton, I'll be due next year, at the same time I miscarried this year.  I'm so glad this realization makes you feel confident and excited about the little girl you'll get to meet so soon!! :-D

  • I'm thankful that the Roosevelt Ale House is starting Karaoke Thursdays Cool

I'm also very thankful for my girlfriends.  I'm the type of person who needs my girl time and I'm so glad to have some really wonderful ladies in my life.  I'm also glad to have a husband who knows and understands this about me, and doesn't think it's weird when I want to go out for a night of drunken karaoke/cupcake baking party/magical margarita night/white trash potluck/pageant queens gone bad murder mystery party, etc.

Lastly, I'm thankful to Metropolitan Market for baking and selling me their delicious pumpkin whoopie pie treats.

DH is a manager at Met Market so he brings home yummy treats all the time (the cheese counter kills our diets.) I just tried their pumpkin whoopie pie treat today and I agree it was delicious!
