When do you pump not to interrupt your supply for normal bf? I am new at all this. I want to make sure I have enough for LO when he is hungry again. I am feeding on demand and really not sure when he is going to eat next.
I pump about 30 minutes after his first morning feeding. That's when my supply is at its best so a) it's unlikely he'll want to eat again soon and b) if he does I usually 'have enough' even though I pumped.

Are you bottle feeding yet? I ask because then it doesn't really matter, worse case you give a bottle if you don't have enough built up (start with nursing then top off)
You could do it just after you nurse, but as you said if LO is looking to nurse an hour later, it might not be enough time. In that case, if LO is only usually nursing from one breast, perhaps pump the same breast and then leave the other one be.
Are you pumping to just build up a stash or ?
Also, once my LO started sleeping more at night I would add in a session of both breasts at night.
I would pump an hour after he ate in the morning. Breasts are never empty so even if your LO wanted to nurse an hour (or less!) after you pumped it would be fine.

You are doing a great job!
