Success after IF

3rd tri question

Remember the early days of your pregnancy - when you were so deep bone down tired that it was difficult to pick your head up off the pillow, and you felt like you were hit by a truck?

Why do I feel like that again for the past few days? This is ridiculous. I never really got a HUGE burst of energy in 2nd tri - but I felt better.

The past 3 days, it's all I can do to make it through the day.

Is this normal?

  • Completely normal!! They are a big stress on yourbody now and top that off withthe fact that it gets tougher to sleep!!
  • Yep :) But, I'll say this, too - if it's accompanied by anything else weird such as headaches, blurred vision, swelling, or even just kind of general achy flu-like symptoms, it could be an indication that there is *too* much stress on your body.  I'm sure everything is fine, I'm just saying that it doesn't hurt to pay extra attention as you notice things changing and as you near the end!
  • Thanks ladies!

i've actually been having really bad headaches, occasional blurred vision and swelling for weeks now. BP is fine and no protein in my urine. But I'll definitely keep my eyes on it getting worse. I blame it on my job - but then again - i blame a lot of things on my job. Stick out tongue

I do the same thing re my job!  As long as your labs (bp and urine) are okay, that's really all you can do - I just hear so many stories now of OBs who don't do a urine test at every visit and it makes me crazy. . . so important!

  • I feel the same way!!

That's just crazy. Actually, when I called my OB and told her about 1 high blood pressure, she immediately sent me for a 24hr urine collection. She doesn't mess around.

Irresponsible doctors drive me nuts too!

  • normal...you will start nesting and get more energy at the end, but also it is hard to sleep at night with the constant going - think NATURE does that to get you used to the sleepless newborn nights - hate that at the end.

    time will fly now.

  • Totally normal.  My Third trimester exhaustion was worse than the first trimester.

I felt exhausted and huge... not a fun combo.  ( I also never got that 2nd trimester energy that people speak of.. I thought it was just an urban legend. ;)
