Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Changing pad, until what age?

I never bought a changing pad, as we are not really using the nursery yet, until what age is it used? is it too late for me to buy one? LO is almost 5 mo. old.

Re: Changing pad, until what age?

  • I think I'm in the minority, but DS is two and we're still using it.  He's WAY too long for it, but I just think it's easier than sitting on the floor and changing him.  So obviously, I'd say buy one!
  • Loading the player...
  • I use ours all the time and still have room for him to grow!
  • We still use ours, and I don't see us stopping any time soon.

  • Hehe. Uh, there's no rule on this one. Do it however you'd like. :)
  • Not too late by a long stretch, IMO. We used the changing pad/changing table with DD1 until past age two.

Since DD2 has arrived, we mostly use it for the baby and I just change DD1 on the floor.

  • We used ours for DD until she was almost 2 yrs - the only reason we stopped was because we needed to move it into DS's room.

  • I don't have one and I don't have plans to buy one.  E's crib is in our room and every day I lay a clean towel on my bed and change here there.  If it happens to get dirty, I change it.  I hate clutter, and for some reason a changing pad just never appealed to me.
