With the super genius princess girls that rock Math!
I'm glad your school is working w/ you and that she's having tiered schedule and is getting the challenges she needs without totally grade skipping and missing age level social interations.
Nah, we had a section on this subject when I went through my gifted training. We learned that often putting them in their appropriate level is better because they are often rejected by their age peers. I think it's great that the school is letting her selectively level-skip.
Congratulations to the both of you!! What an awesome DD you've got to be the rockin' math genius. I'm sure you'll make the best decision you can. I'll tell you that I was less accepted by my age-group peers than I was by the older kids; they felt like I was trying to show off. The older kids just figured if I could do the work, then so be it.
She's going to do great things!
