Question about Two week wait

I am so embarassed to ask this, but DH was sick before our IUI and it's basically just been a while.  Can you and your SO be active during the two week wait?

  • I was told absolutely no whoopie till beta. BUT we did IVF. With my IUIs I cant remember if they said for sure but I chose not to.

  • With IVF, no.  With my IUI (which was a converted IVF), I never asked.  I just pretended it was like IVF and waited until my beta.

  • I was only told abstain during the 2WW when I was doing IVF.  I don't remember them telling me to abstain during my injectable cycles.  However, we were never active during the 2WW because I was too scared that something would prevent the embie from implanting -- in retrospect I don't think it would have made a difference during my injectable or clomid cycles.  I think they tell you to abstain during IVF because of your HUGE ovaries...

  • After my IUIs, our RE encouraged us to do it a lot - especially that night and the following few days.  Have fun!

  • Hi there, I'm new to this board and wanted some advice on my IUI. I had my first IUI on Sunday. Doc said everything looked great, showed I ovulated at the right time, SA was good (27 mil w/ 90% motility), etc. I've been crampy ever since although it's a bit better today. I was freaking out last night because my Scottie dog jumped on my stomach last night...hurt a bit because I was so crampy but didn't bruise or anything (hope that wouldn't affect anything). Also, my bb's were really sore up until yesterday and my nips are still really sensitive. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone else who has had IUI has experienced this. I'm not getting my hopes up too much. I called my RE yesterday just to make sure this was normal and she said yes. She said it may even be implantation but I'm thinking it's way early for that...she said it COULD be...anyway, again, not getting my hopes up too much but any advice you could give would be great!

  • Just as everyone else said, we were told to get down & dirty after my IUI.
