Pirate Party for 1 yo?

Do you think a Pirate theme party for a 1 year old twins is ok? Or should I wait until they are a little bit older?  Anyone done one before or have any ideas on what to serve? It's going to be the week before Halloween. Any ideas are welcome.

    I did a pirate party and LOVED it! I don't think I have many pictures at work, but I did a couple of posts a while ago about my invitation and cake. I'll see what I can find for you :)

    BOH and I both did one for our twin boys.

    Ours turned one in June so we did a Pirate Pool Party. We did burgers, hot dogs, potato salad, beans, chips, etc. We had goldfish and Pirate's Booty for the kids too. Here are some pics. I got the decorations from Hobby Lobby, Etsy and Party City. A friend of mine did the cake but there is a step by step on Wilton Cakes website.

    I have 100s more pics. If you are interested I can PM you more. They had pirate onesies that said Ahoy Matey its my 1st Birthday, too. And bumpie Auchick did our invites that were super cute.

    The onesie idea sounds cute, where can I find one or can I make it myself?

    This is where we got our onesies. Super cute in person and I paired them with some red, blue and black plaid shorts.
