I got home late last night, and the men in my life (boyfriend and son) had tacos last night. Not exactly something I want to reheat and eat at 10:30.
So... I throw on a pot of water and make a quick box of the mac. I know it's awful stuff, but I could live on it if I needed to. I practically did when I was a latch-key kid growing up. Besides, it's cheap, easy and quick.
My blood sugar wasn't that bad during the evening hours. It never is. It was about 114 at 8:30 p.m.
I took my blood sugar 2 hours after I ate, about 12:45...
180!!! That's the highest I've ever seen on me. Maybe it's been that high during the night before and I never knew, but yikes!
What the hell??
My little munchkin was squirming and dancing around so much. I was asleep and had woken up to pee at 12:45 so that's why I remembered to check it. I don't know if she moves around that much all the time and I sleep through it, but geez... she was wired!!
So I think Kraft Mac and Cheese is going on the "not while pregnant" list.
I'll miss you...
Re: Holy Cow! Kraft Mac & Cheese is trying to kill me.
I was thinking of making it for breakfast.
LOL. I didn't eat it for years either, but since I'm been on this stupid evening shift, it's been a quick meal on far too many nights.
I prefer Kraft Deluxe or homemade baked mac, but my son loves it. So we always have a few boxes on hand.
Cheap noodles and powdered "cheese". :-) Toxic, yet just yummy enough to make it passable.
During my first trimester I was really wanting this stuff so I gave in and bought a box and it tasted horrible. I couldnt believe I wanted it so much remembering back as a kid when it was good. I dunno I just couldnt even stomach it.
Now ramen noodles on the other hand... delish! lol
