My best friend is getting married in one month.... this weekend I have to drive 5 hours to spend the weekend with her for her bach party... So on saturday we are spending the entire day at a wine festival (awesome, right?) Since we will be there all day and I don't know what if any food they will have there, I am packing a cooler full of food for the girls, but I don't know what to pack for myself. I got crackers and fruits, but we will be there from 10 am till 6 pm, outside, in the heat... i need some ideas of what i can pack that is healthy and will keep me full throughout the day...lots of water of course, but what else??
Please help... for some reason I am at a total loss, what would you pack in your cooler??
Re: Need some food advice...
a protein bar of some type I really like all of the Go Lean Bars!
This is exactly what I was going to say. Also, I'm really into cheese lately, so I'd bring that, too.
You could also bring those yummy mini rice cakes.
Could you take hard boiled egss? I can't keep down any other kind of eggs, but hard boiled keep me full and happy.
I would also splurge on some fun beverage for yourself. You know, sparkling, fruity, and healthy.
Oh, and I agree about the PB&J. I eat those when nothing else will work. Also filling.
