exercise

What is everyone doing for exercise?  My morning sickness is finally going away, so I feel like I can exercise again. I have a prenatal yoga dvd and have been biking and walking. I tried to jog again, but was uncomfortable (It was painful, I think I need a better sports bra).

  • I'm doing Summer Sander prenatal workout dvd 3 times a week and try to do some sort of cardio 1-2 a week also.

  • Starting yoga and elliptical next week with weights.
  • I walk everyday for 45 minutes.  A few days a week I go to the gym and use the elliptical.  I also still use free weights and do a prenatal pilates DVD.  I was a runner before, but I feel so much pressure on my cervix now that it's just not enjoyable.

  • I don't. :-( I chase after 2 kids all day then teach dance 4 days a week. I walk my dog for about 20-30 mins everyday too but I don't do much. Not like before. I honestly just can't believe how much my body has changed. Even though I'm not showing much, I can't jump or turn to save my life.

  • I haven't been able to do yoga since I got my BFP.  I end up going to deep into my poses and feel awful the next day.  I still do squats (just no turning.)  I use the eliptical and walk/jog on the treadmill with weights.

  • I dont exercise, like I used to pre-pregnancy. I also work in a very active environment. On my feet, walking pretty much all day. I took a pedometer to work one I walk about 5 miles a day at work alone! I did get a prenatal yoga video, bc I heard helps with labor.

  • I used to run 3x/week - two shorter runs about 6kms each then about 10-12kms on Saturdays.  Lately though I've only been doing the short runs (with difficulty - short of breath - no energy - taking lots of breaks), and I'll walk the long run (which means I only get in about 8kms by the time the rest of the group is done!)

     I also have a dog so I walk him every day as well.  I've heard the prenatal yoga dvd's are awesome so I'll look into that when my belly gets too big/heavy for running! 

  • I do 30 minutes of cardio then 30 minutes of pilates every Monday and Wednesday. As it starts getting cooler outside, i am going to incorporate more cardio by walking around my block on a few other days of the week.

  • I walk every day at lunch, go to a prenatal exercise class once a week (a lot of weight and resistance training and core exercises - not gentle pilates/yoga type stuff - surprise to me!), and try to swim once a week. I am also going to start going to a prenatal aquasize class once I'm bigger. I had totally fallen of the work out wagon before I got pg, so I'm trying to ease back into it.

  • Yoga and the elliptical, the same things I did pre-pregnancy.  Just a little less frequently because of the exhaustion.

  • I was a runner and had just started playing soccer again pre-pg, but stopped when the fatigue of first tri hit. Now I'm starting back up (slowly!)with elliptical and treadmill (on an incline) 3-4 days a week and I would like to do some resistance training (maybe the summer sanders video ) 1-2x a week as well. I'm hoping to work my cardio days up to an hour, we'll see.
