Update to my BIL...

So my sister just called me and the doctor doesn't think the cancer is very advanced because it hasn't spread to his liver or lymph nodes, so he is super confident that they will be able to remove a part of his colon and he will be 100% fine and make a 100% recovery. He goes to the hospital in a few hours for prep and then surgery bright and early in the morning. He'll be in for 5 days, and then is looking at 5-8 weeks recovery. They don't even think they'll need to do chemo or anything, though they'll be more certain after they get in there and start looking around more.

That is an absolute HUGE relief! I feel like God answered my prayers last night. Thanks for the support ladies, it really, really, really means a lot to me.

That is so great and such a good lesson for everyone. If you think something is wrong, push your doctors to find out what it is even if they think you are crazy.

Absolutely. You know what's going on with your body - they can't feel the pain you're feeling. It may just save your life!!!! If they won't listen, get a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th opinion.
