Natural Birth

The best advice given to me regarding having a natural birth...

... was to let everyone know to not offer me any medications. If I truly need some, I would ask for it.

Just thought I'd share a little piece of wisdom!

  • I agree!  Luckily I had really great nurses, and they asked one time as soon as we checked in if they needed to get the anesthesiologist for an epidural.  My husband, doula, and I all yelled "no!" and no one said anything after that.

    Thank you so much! :)
  • Thank you SO much for that.. Funny, I think I needed to read that right now. I just posted how I am getting worried since I am doing this with an OB in the hospital. I was worried that medication would keep getting offered over and over in attempts to wear me down. (maybe that sounds a little dramatic, but I'm new to this and with only 3 weeks left, my fears are starting to run a little wild.. lol) Does this work with PIT too? I'm worried with an attempt to keep on a schedule, I won't be allowed to labor naturally. Thanks again for your post! btw, I love your picture too..
