TTC After a Loss 6 Months+

Update: Follicle Watch 2010 (and PIP)

Yesterday's ER was a smashing success - 11 eggs retrieved!!

Well, at least it was a smashing success for ME. I was hoping for 8 so feel really good about that number. In recovery I kept asking (and forgetting) how many eggs they got. Every time she said "Eleven." I'd start crying... then a minute later I wondered why I was crying and if it was because they didn't get any eggs.

Finally she wrote the number on my hand to help me remember.

Oh - and random but in recovery my bff who was told "no chance in hell you'll conceive on your own" texted me - PREGNANT!

Now waiting on pins and needles for the fertilization report.

  • Wootie! Woo! I am thrilled for you! This story has me cracking up. At least you were asking this while under instead of blabbing some deepmdark secret. Wink Just a couple of days! Wishing you and your eggs the best! I wil tell you a funny anestisia story. About two years ago I had to have some dental work, I am terrified of dentists and being awake. They left me sitting in the room for an hour listening to other surgeries that I was having a panic attack. I don't remember being sedated, but when it was all over I was screaming I was still awake and totally freaking out. Yes, the entire place, including the lobby could hear me. Sorry for the big paragraph, iPad will not honor the return button
  • Woohooo!  I can't wait to hear the great fertilization update of 2010!

  • Well, nurse just called... 8 were mature and 5 fertilized.

Not as great as I'd like since we have to do PGS and a 5dt. I was hoping to have several left over to freeze but the reality is, unless somehow they all pass the PGS test, we'll be lucky to have 1 or 2.

  • WOW!  double good news!!!!

I've been pregnant 3 times, all three had genetic issues. The reason we're doing IVF is because we need the screening to make sure only healthy embryos are returned.

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to find out all five are healthy, we just had really shiity luck, and all the money we spent on IVF was a waste... but I'm kinda a pessimist about this. And the reality is, we have a better chance of having NONE return healthy than all of them.

Still, the puppies and rainbows feel all kinds of refreshing on my bum...
