TMI! But I do not know who to ask: Hemroids

Okay girls!! How the heck do I get rid of it? I did not get it when I pushed little G out, rather 2 weeks after this little thing graced my life and now I can not seem to get rid of it....Yes I have had it for over 4 months!!! Any remedies you know of?? Most days I forget it is there so that is a good thing, but it really bothers me that it has not gone away.....Help??

  • I got one (them? IDK they were internal) too a few weeks after birth and I can't remember when they went away, but it was probably about 4-5 months. I hope it goes away soon for you.

  • Have you called the doc?  That seems crazy.  I know you can buy hemorroid wipes but I don't know if they make them go away or prevent them.  Although, can you prevent them?  I have no idea what I am talking about.  I think I would call the doc if I were in your stitch.

    That sounds terrible.  Good luck.

  • Well, I have used creams and wipes but it does not work, so now I am on to suppositories (which is the only way it went away for my friend) so we will see....When I went for my 6 week post op appt, my Dr saw I had one and told me don't worry it will go away...I am actually scheduled for my yearly with her later this month, but I am so embarrassed to go back with it still there lol...That is silly I know since she saw a human come out of me lol.....

I don't know anything about hemorrhoids, but I just wanted to say that you should absolutely not be embarrassed to see your doctor. Seriously, if anything she should feel bad since it hasn't gone away like she said it would! It's just one of those things in life I guess. Hopefully you guys can find a solution soon though. Good luck!

  • I got one a couple weeks after I had R, & it was excruciating. I feel your pain. At my 6 week check up, my doctor wrote me a prescription. She told me to start using it if the hemorrhoid wasn't gone in a week. She said that she would want me to see a specialist (I'm assuming a proctologist?) for treatment if that didn't clear it up. Thankfully, it went away on it's own. I would call your doctor again. I know it's embarrassing, but they deal with this all the time!
  • Drink A LOT of water, keep yourself super hydrated.  And maybe throw in a few apples to regulate (I know, TMI), but it works.
