freaking out
DH and I had decided (I thought) that I would go off the pill in May of next year and then we would be TTC. Well I was just emailing with him and asking him if we were waiting just to wait, or if it was what he wanted also, and he told me that he was thinking I should go off the pill in December. As in 3 months from now. I told him that means I could get pregnant right away and he said he understands that but he still thinks it's the right time for us.
I'm so shocked. I thought we were waiting until May because he wasn't ready. Turns out we were waiting until May because that's what I suggested.
I guess this is all stemming from a conversation we had this weekend where he realized how serious I am about wanting kids.

Wow, I'm ridic excited and nothing is even happening yet.
That's so funny! That's basically the same convo I had with my DH. Originally we were saying "In a year or two". Then when I started getting a lot of wedding bookings for next year, we had a serious discussion about it & he started saying "the sooner the better, right?". I too was shocked.
I thought we were waiting b/c he wasn't ready, but I guess I was wrong! Looks like we'll be joining the TTC list together!!

Very exciting! I too am jealous.
Even though I'm off the pill, DH isn't ready yet, or so he says. He said if I did get pregnant right now he would be scared initially, but then probably really excited and happy. He would be an awesome dad, I know it. I think he's just not ready to take the leap and officially say we're trying to get PG. We have set our "TTC date" for April of next year, so I'm not too far behind you. I just wish DH was able to say "Yes, I'm ready to be a parent".

That would be really awesome. I still haven't decided if I want to actually stop BC in December, though. We're going on a cruise at the end of January and I figured out that if I stop BC in January I would be stopping mid-month, therefore ensuring I won't have AF on the cruise. To be perfectly honest I don't even want to chance having AF on what may possibly be the last vacation "just the two of us" if you catch my drift. LOL. So chances are I'll actually stop in January.

Woohoo! I can't wait to see your name on the TTC list! I hear ya on the vacation thing... I do whatever I can to avoid AF when I'm going out of town.
In the past two weeks my two best friends have told me that they have stopped taking the pill. I think the Baby Rabies is starting to get to me too and now I'm a little jealous!!
I say frig it and just get off the pill now!!!
(and just for the record, that's why I was going back to work, so says Peter... he claims it was MY idea and that I didn't have to go - hence, I only went back for a day and submitted my leave papers!)

Haha, if only it was that easy! I'd love to say the heck with it and start earlier, but we have our big Japan trip in mid-April and I don't want to be preggers for it. However, as soon as we're on that plan it's GO TIME! (Well, not on the plane, lol)
