Anyone with a 7ish year old girl?

Hi ladies, I know I've never posted here before, but I didnt know this board existed!

My SD is 7, but slightly more mature than her age. I'm BEYOND stumped about Christmas for her this year. Our goal is one gift per paycheck until then, but I really don't know what she "likes". She only stays here part time, and they don't get a whole lot at her mom's house, so she doesn't ask for very much. What are your 7 and 8 year old girls into right now? I buy her lots of books (we bought science book and cookbooks last year and she loved them), and we will probably get her a bike, but what's the "popular" thing for them this year? Other than those darn zhuzhu pets :)

  • My daughter is 7 and she loves clothes, craft-like toys(beads to make bracrelets, necklaces..etc).  My daughter and her friends still enjoy playing with Barbie's.  They love their bikes, scooters, and skateboards too.

  • We had SS make his Christmas list already.  We'll have him do a letter to Santa still, but I wanted to get a jump on the Christmas shopping, so I asked for a family list now.  He knows that his dad and I and my entire family buy him gifts, so it wasn't a big deal to ask.  I told him that I would share some of the gifts on that list with Santa as well.

  • DD wants a nintendo ds or an ipod or an american girl doll but they're all pretty pricey.  She also wants a charm bracelet, zhu zhu pets, and the little house on the prairie books.

    .
  • I was going to suggest an American girl doll although Target has some similar but they are way cheaper.

  • American girl anything, scooters, magic treehouse books, nintendo ds, crafts, legos, disney channel shows, icarly stuff, diary of a wimpy kid, build a bear/ webkinz
  • Nintendo DS, camera, American Girl something.

  • I am going to go with the PPs and suggest American Girl dolls.  They are pricey, but come with stories from American history.  DD has 3 and she loves them.
  • My daughter turned 8 over the summer.  She loves her DS, crafts, helping with cooking (we are getting her an apron), Barbies still but not quite as much, Magic Treehouse and Diary of a Wimpy Kid books.  I think I may get her a gift card for her stocking so she can go pick out some clothes on her own.  She really loves being to pick them out (within reason of course).
  • My daughter is 7 and she is into American Girl, Nintendo DS, chapter books (Judy Moody, Junie B. Jones, Clementine, etc.), Webkinz, nail polish/lip balm, crafty things like bracelet/necklace making.
