Hey ladies I need some suggestions. Wes has an 8 hour oral examination at work on Wednesday. That means I have to provide food.
He is going to stop and get biscuits on his way in.
I am making potato soup (because it can stay warm in a crock pot) and toasted french bread for lunch.
I need a dessert and a couple of snack ideas. Wes really wants me to make some spinach dip but the only problem with that is it can't just sit out all day because it has cream cheese and sour cream in it. He will have a cooler of ice, so I thought about getting one of my xtra .large bowls and having him put ice in it then set the bowl of spinach dip in the ice bowl so it'll stay cool.
So anyone got any good snack ideas or dessert ideas? I have to have enough to feed 9 people. Thanks!
Re: NBR: Food help please :)
Brownies for dessert!! You could do with and w/o nuts if you're so inclined. Fruit salad for a healthier option. Or store bought cookies to make it easy on yourself.
And I think you could make the spinach dip work. One batch of spinach dip should be plently for 9 people. Put it in tupperware and just put it in the cooler if it's large enough.
This is a yummy dessert and it is really rich so it would definitely feed 9 people:

This dessert is absolutely HEAVENLY and super easy to make...but needs to be refrigerated because of the cream cheese...

What about these pretzel turtles

I also have a strawberry dessert.
It's angel food cake torn into bite size pieces. Then take the frozen strawberries in syrup and pour over. Then take a large tub of whip cream and a can of eagle brand and mix it. Then pour over. Make sure all is covered and sealed! Put in the fridge! It will make enough for 9. Its quick and easy.
