What are you looking forward to in the Fall?
Re: PG-Mom-TTC check in
Any news or updates?
Caroline continues to have some fussy periods when she's tired, which is usually in the evening. She is so pleasant in the morning and afternoon though. She is starting to "talk" up a storm and she smiles, squeals and somewhat laughs now when you really get her going. It's so funny. I didn't think that babies did this so early so I'm pleasantly surprised. She is also now grabbing and holding onto things such as the objects on her playmat.
From my nonscientific weighing method of getting on the scale with and without her, I think she is about 10.5 pounds. We're now done with Newborn clothes and have moved onto 0-3 months.
What are you looking forward to in the Fall?
I'm looking forward to Halloween and Thanksgiving for Caroline. Although she won't remember it, I think it will be fun to dress her up and show her off to the family.
For myself, I'm looking foward to touring the wineries with my friends. The area around the wine trail is beautiful with the turning leaves and the air is perfectly crisp and Fall-like and of course wine is great
Lots of ::::: vibes ::::: for our TTCers! Let's see some BFPs!
Any news or updates?
Onto cycle 2! I'm still not charting b/c I've managed to develop a more relaxed attitude over the past week or so about the whole thing - I'm just happy that we're TTC.
Also, I'm turning down the job I discussed - which is related b/c if I had accepted I was considering putting off TTC. If they wanted me that bad they would give me more than 24 hours to make a decision!!
What are you looking forward to in the Fall?
Seeing my siblings!! We might all make it to my cousins wedding in early October, and we haven't all been together since May 2009. My mom won't be there (conflicts with her annual sisters trip), so still have to wait awhile before the entire family is together thoug.
Any news or updates?
Landon has his first cold
He starting sniffling Saturday night and we took him to the doctor. The dr. said it was a minor sinus cold and to use saline solution and a humidifer. He is not running a fever. But FYI, the dr said cold season is already bad this early and they predict a bad season. So wash those hands!
Landon is weighing 15.3 lbs!
What are you looking forward to in the Fall?
Fall is my favorite season! I am looking forward to Halloween and dressing him up. Taking him to the pumpkin farm and picking out pumpkins. I am also looking forward to a trip to the mountains in October for my cousin's wedding. It is going to be beautiful! The leaves will be changing hopefully and the weather will be crisp and cool!
Updates:
I had an awesome dr. appointment yesterday. I absolutely love my ob/gyn. His office is totally out of the way, but I refuse to try to find someone else. We sat in his little workspace, he knew all about my ER visit last week and what was going on, and the BEST part of it was he cleared us to try again whenever we wanted, which is definitely going to be sooner than later. I know some days are really hard still, but we both really want a baby.
What I look forward to this fall:
Crunchy leaves and the smell of autumn! I love that, but hate the cold that follows.
Updates - KiKi is 6 months old today. Holy crap. I have no words. She is a bundle of fun. I know CIO is super controversial but it worked for us in a moment of desperation. We're now on night 2 of 11-12 hour nights of sleep. I am a happy mommy and I had no idea K could be happier than she was before. Seriously. Yesterday she didn't cry the entire day. We played, napped, ate, and played some more. She puts herself to sleep like a champ now. Hoping these days continue. I still having her napping in my bed during the day but we'll take it one issue at a time. Having her in my bed doesn't bother me as long as she continues to sleep at night in her bed.
Fall - I am not a fan of fall. It is cold. Winter is on its way. Which is never fun on the river. But I am looking forward to heading to the pumpkin patch with KiKi. There is a really big pumpkin patch with pony rides, corn maze, cooking pumpkins and carving pumpkins, and hay bales to play on. Not anything that K can play with right now, but it is a Ashimm Tradition. So we're excited to share that with K. And I am excited to give her tiny bits of Thanksgiving dinner. Since she will be 8.5 months old she will be thisclose to eating table food. She will be able to have something, I will set aside some stuff without any added spices for her to eat.
Lots of luck to the TTCers!! I can't wait to see more BFPs.
Today we went to story time at the library...she seemed to really enjoy it..although come to think of it there was only one story read and the rest were songs and playing with toys and the other kids...but she had fun and it was FREE.....
I think the swing is starting to be a thing of the past...G tries to sit up in it rather than nap in it, so she is now napping in her crib which she just started yesterday doing....
She is rolling over a lot more, and I think soon will be sitting up, because I swear that is all she tries to do!!
Fall- I love the holiday times.....going to the pumpkin patch, my birthday, thanksgiving!!! A nice time..I can not wait to do all of these things with Gianna....
Any news or updates?
Where is the time going? I feel like things are just flying now. I'm starting to get a little uncomfortable, but overall I am really enjoying just being pregnant. The kicking is awesome. This little bean is a going to be a drummer - I just know it.
Passed my sugar test which is a relief. Signing up for a CPR class for November and I cancelled our childprep class - heard from some local ladies it isn't helpful and more scary than anything else - so I'll just stick to reading all the books we have at home.
What are you looking forward to in the Fall?
I love this season with all my heart. It is finally cooling off and I can't get enough pumpkin spice lattes even if I do limit it to once a week. I'm looking foward to dragging DH to a county fair and also a corn maze. Also can't wait for our baby shower next month where we get to see some far away friends. Counting down.
Lots of ::::: vibes ::::: for our TTCers! Let's see some BFPs!updates: getting bigger every week! lol. and finding out I have placenta previa which I posted about on Friday.
Also, we decided on a name! Katelyn Diane, and we'll call her Kate. Diane is MIL's name
I LOVE the fall, its by far my favorite season. I love the crisp air, all the pumpkin and cinnamon spice foods, the apple orchards and cider donuts (do we see a food theme here??). I love all the Halloween decorations and getting ready for t-giving and knowing the holidays are on the way... but not looking forward to the cold & snow that also comes after the holidays!
Any news or updates? Will be 35/35 tomorrow - hard to believe! I have reached the point where I am starting to feel a bit uncomfortable, so sleep is eluding me. LO's movement is also getting a bit more difficult to detect (more squirms and twists than kicks or pokes) which always makes me nervous, even though I have heard it's normal. Other than that, just trying to finish up everything at work and do some finishing touches of baby stuff at home. Hoping he doesn't come TOO soon, but am also getting anxious to meet him.
What are you looking forward to in the Fall? Meeting my little guy!
Things are starting to get so much better with Corbin! He is the happiest baby now and only gets real mad if he is over tired. We are still working on his sleeping, but he goes down much easier now for the most part and is sleeping great most nights. Let's just say i am a much happier mom now too! Except, he has started not liking car rides as much. he used to fall asleep before we got out the driveway and now he will rarely sleep in his car seat.
We have yet to get in for his 2 month appointment but he weighs atleast 17 pounds and is around 25 inches long!! I feel like he is growing so fast.
Fall is my favorite season too! I am looking forward to the crispy cold fall days, pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks and all the holidays that are coming up! I also love fall fashion, so am begging DH for the chance to go do some new clothes shopping.
Update: We survived 4 month shots last week. We started rice cereal which was a diaster. I'm waiting until later this week and we'll try oatmeal. He's just a joy and well worth the years of TTC to get him!
QOTD: Fall is my favorite season. I love the crisp air and the leaves turning. We're heading down to Dallas in October so Ian can meet his cousins and Aunts and Uncles from Drew's side. First plane ride for Ian, so I'm a bit nervous.
Love the name- Kate is Gianna's middle name
It has been a long time since I participated in one of these.
Update: Ava is 2 months old today. She is talking away and is usually a very happy baby. She definitely knows which time she needs to eat because she starts screaming, both day and night. As a result, she still hasn't slept through the night. Ava is still loving her cereal. I am giving her oatmeal and rice. She is now up to having 2 tsps. twice a day and 2.5 tsp. at dinner time.
She has her 2 month appointment tomorrow. I will try to update you girls on her weight and length because she seems like she is growing like a weed.
Fall: I am dreading going back to school since things are already crazy here with me not working.
All your LO's are adorable! Good luck to all the TTCers!
I can't wait to be on the TTC list. I actually think if I would get over myself and my own "plan" then we would already be TTC.
So Phoebe had a Dr appt last week and she weighs 10 lbs 2 oz already! I can't believe how big she is. She has been sleeping in her bassinet every night but she wakes up a lot still. She still hates riding in the car and pretty much screams the entire time she is in her carseat. I've started wearing her in the carrier when we go shopping now because otherwise it was a screaming nightmare. She loves both of the carriers (Moby and Baby Bjorn) and she pretty much sleeps the entire time she is in them. I'm still holding her for every nap so its nice to have my hands free sometimes. She's wonderful though. She talks and giggles and smiles all the time. I love just talking to her and watching Rowen with her. He completely adores her.
I'm really looking forward to the weather getting cooler. I'm so tired of the heat and humidity. I can't wait to put Phoebe into tights!
I love sweaters and fires in the fireplace and the leaves changing colors. I really love fall! Plus it means its just closer to the time when Chris comes home!!
Nathan is just getting over his first cold and he is just finishing up his second week in daycare! He loves his "teachers" and already has so many little "friends", I love picking him up and seeing him laughing! He learned how to say "bye-bye" and is a little parrot with actions and words it is so ADORABLE!
I am looking forward to Nathan's first birthday and my *gasp* 30th birthday in two weeks!
News or updates?:
Not much to update. Still on Cycle 3, waiting to start Cycle 4 hoping for a BFP, but beginning Cycle 4 is much more likely. My cycles are still so out of whack! I'm going to order some OPK's so we can start to try to get the timing right (if I can ever figure out my cycle) instead of just guessing.
What are you looking forward to in the Fall?:
I LOVE Fall! The decorations, the changing colors of the leaves, anything pumpkin related, apple cider, all of it. What I am hoping for most this Fall, a BFP, of course.
I have sinus crud going on right now, and the only things the my OB will ok for me to take is Robitussin and Tylenol. The Robitussin was just started yesterday, so I took it and the Tylenol and slept awesome for the first time in 3 days. Other than that, I love being pregnant. Kari is great, even if she's moving when I really should be sleeping, and mashing some part of her body into my belly button and it sort of hurts. I can't wait until she's here.
Fall is my favorite time of year; it's one awesome time to live in Tennessee. Football, candy corn, pumpkins, soup in the crock pot (Josh will only eat soup if it's cool outside), hayrides.... I could go on for days.
Any news or updates? The kids went back to daycare yesterday so it was their first day of "school" Maddie is now in pre-k and Josh in the toddler room!
What are you looking forward to in the Fall? I love fall. I cant wait to dress the kids up, do corn mazes and fall festivals and all that good stuff.
I had a doctor's appointment today and it went really well.
Buddha's heart beat was a strong 149...the doctor had a hard time finding it because just as we'd start to hear it, the baby would move. My doctor was laughing out loud at how wiggly Buddha is. I experienced this yesterday myself with the doppler at home, so, I'm happy to know he/she is so active. She confirmed that my susupicions of feeling Buddha move are actually him/her moving, not gas. (I was torn.)
The nurse tried to tell me I gained 12 pounds this month. Luckily I weighed myself this morning so I KNEW she was wrong. She checked again and I'd gained 7. (When I weighed myself this morning, I had an empty bladder, hadn't eaten yet and had on my pjs, so, I think I really gained 5.) 7 is still a lot though, I didn't think I ate that much this month, so, I'll have to be more careful.
Got my flu/H1N1 shot, had blood drawn for the AFP test and we discussed the pains I've been having in my lower abdomen. She confirmed it's round ligament pain.
All in all, a great visit. With more news that I'll do a separate post about.
As for fall, I LOVE fall. This summer has been especially miserable because of the heat and humidity. Fall has been a welcome break for me. I love the cool but not freezing weather, the colors, the smells, the decorations...all of it. I love Halloween, I love the big holidays that are approaching....I just love Fall.
Katy and Brett ~ Runaway Bay, Jamaica ~ October 4, 2008
It was so nice reading about everyone's little ones!!! I miss being on here as often as I used to be.
Updates: Mari has figured out her jumperoo and is using it to the extreme. She is friggin hysterical in it (if some of you saw my facebook video, you'll understand). We've just kinda started solids with her - she ate some avocado last week and this week we started bananas. I can't tell that she's like either... She makes the most awful faces. The best thing she's doing lately is truly babbling. She's making "babababa" and "dadadadada" sounds all the time and it's so nice to hear! (I dont' believe she's associating either of us with these sounds, which I know is normal). She sits up like a pro, but still doesn't roll. She makes crawling motions, but freaks out when she goes nowhere. She's teething like CRAZY and screams a good portion of the day about 3 days a week (which is better than her previous 5 days a week screaming).
Fall.
I want THIS... BAD!

OMG! That's awesome! Um...the kid in the first picture kind of looks like he's wearing a toupee!
Any news or updates? Nia is officially smiling and starting to laugh. We thought it was gas, but she's been clearly amused when my dad played with her over the weekend (my parents were in town meeting her for the first time!). She's also smiling at DH too and has become very attached to him (crying when he walks away and craning her neck very hard when she hears his voice).
On a challenging note Nia isn't BFing the same. About a week ago she became super fussy while eating and pulling at my nipple. We introduced the bottle over the weekend which she took to just fine, and I know I'm producing enough milk (it flows and flows when I pump). I'm thinking it could be reflux because her fists are clenched a lot and she suddenly has started spitting up breastmilk. She's also producing a lot of spit (my mom thinks she's cutting teeth). I give Nia gripe water a couple times a day and it helps her immensely but don't want to overdo it (the bottle says every 30 minutes is ok, but for some reason that seems like a lot to me).
What are you looking forward to in the Fall? Getting into some sexy fall fashion! I missed out on summer fashion with the pregnancy.
