What old wives' tales have you tried? Do any of them seem to hold more truth than others?? I know they're just for fun but it's hard not knowing (although it was my choice! lol).

Re: If you don't know the sex of your baby...
LOL!
My favorite is the one that goes something like... If you look like shit, you're having a girl! Cause you know... she takes all your beauty!
LOL!
Id dare someone tell me I look like sh*t!
I've been barfing for 27 weeks ... doesn't morning sickness mean a girl? Then again ... I am carrying super low, so that old wives tale would say it's a boy!

Haha I misread that for a second and I thought you said if you look AT your shit.
We don't know either. This baby is kind of abstract for me, I haven't quite grasped the idea of 3 kids yet, so I don't really worry too much about the gender
I think gut instict goes a long way. We didn't find out until 27 weeks with my son, and I never thought he was going to be a girl bofore finding out. We found out earlier with my daughter, but again I was certain she was a girl.
This time around I have a strong boy feeling, mosly because this pregnancy is very reminiscent of #1.
My DH's grandma did one they do in Cuba with a spoon on one chair and a fork (I think it's a fork) on the other, covered with dishcloths, and then I had to sit in one. I sat on the one with the spoon, so apparently that means I'm having a girl...
I'll find out if it was right by the end of next week, I hope.
I've heard that one! She steals all the beauty.
I've heard the ring one, and then there is the one that if you gain weight from all over it's a girl and if your all tummy it's a boy.
I did the ring trick at the shower my MIL/SIL threw for me ... apparently it's been 100% accurate on that side of the family, and it came out very strongly girl (8 to 4). The chinese predictor also says girl. I'll let you know in 14 weeks how right they were!
BTW - I've heard morning sickness is a boy pregnancy. As my mom said, boys give you tough pregnancies and girls give you a lifetime of heartache.
GAH. The chinese predictor one doesn't work for me, because we don't know if the baby was concieved at the end of June or beginning of July. LOL. (Literally, it's like the 30th or the 1st!)
THere's a site online here: https://www.childbirth.org/articles/boyorgirl.html that has a bunch of the old wives tale's and what they mean.
