TTC After a Loss 6 Months+

Had acupuncture appt yesterday

I'm a needle-phobe and I made it through. The ones on the hands and feet hurt like hell going in, but not so bad after.

I'm really trying to keep an open mind, but damn, it's expensive. The woman that I saw has a partner who does the "herbs" side of the business, and it will cost $180/month for the herbs, not to mention $80 each time I go for acupuncture 1-2 times/week. Ugh, I just don't know what to do.

  • Wow!  That is expensive!!    I hope it does the trick and all that money will totally be worth it!
  • Yeah, it is expensive.  What about doing just the acupuncture but not the herbs?  That's what I am doing now.  I stopped taking the herbs now that I am doing medicated cycles.  I didn't want anything to interfere with my meds.  I'm sticking with the acu though since I've heard great things about it.  I'm glad you got through it!

  • I hope you have success with the acupuncture!  I'm a vet, & I've seen it do some amazing things for dogs & cats (who don't get the placebo effect!).  ::Fingers crossed.::

  • I'm going once a week - but it's a community acupuncture place (just do google search if they have in your area)  - so the rates are "pay what you want" (I pay $40 a session). I love my acupuncturist and he is going to recommend herbs, but won't push them. I'm not sure how I feel about that, I am waiting to see what he recommends (he waits 2 months into services before making recommendations).

    Really? That's really interesting!

OP- Good luck! Whatever  you decide will be the right choice.  I feel the same way about massage therapy and I found my balance.
