Pediatric Dentist Q

What type of X rays does your pediatric dentist use?  I took DS to the dentist for the first time last week.  They *tried* to do the bite wing kind.  He freaked and would not let them in.  They were very nice about it and just told him they would try again next time.  He hates things in his mouth and gags really easily.  I really see them not ever being able to do that kind.  He did well the rest of the visit and I really liked the office. 

Should I switch dentists to one that does another kind of Xrays or just let them keep trying to get these?
