Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Speaking of baby-proofing...

I think all we have is a gate, haha.

I know I should probably pick up outlet covers - I really like the new type, that shifts and automatically covers the outlet - and probably something for my brick fireplace.  What other stuff should we be looking at?  I guess something for cabinets, but I really hope there's something out there that doesn't screw in, they're brand new Tongue Tied

Also, any recommendations on where to buy these things?

  • Target has some great stuff....cabinet latches that don't screw on...they go on the outside where the handles are.  I'll be honest, I am afraid to child-proof my house because it will be Avid-Proof...haha!

Same here!  I was looking at toilet locks, and thinking that I better not ever wait till the last minute to use the bathroom, LOL!

  • If you have a coffee table with corners I woukd recommend the foam covers.  Kids gravitate to the corners for some reason, the foam stick ons have saved ds#1 from many bumps on the head.
  • Is your tv secure and do you have furniture that needs to be tethered.

I moved my cleaning supplies to the laundry room, because I didn't want to put locks on my cabinets either.

My TV is flush mounted to the wall - I can ask DH to check and see how secure it is.

I think I need to toss my old coffee table (cough, an old cedar chest I've had since high school) and possibly buy those little leather cubes that I can store things in.  Though then I might worry about Liam catching his fingers...
