Anxiety Meds

What meds have really helped you with PPD/PPA?  I know I have been writing on here a lot but its been getting bad and upping my dose just makes me feel like Im more anxious. Help. I cant take this sadness and anxious feeling all the time. Going to call my doc again Monday and go in because I dont think these meds are working. This is the worst. Thank god I have something that makes it worth it tho

    If upping your dosage caused an increase in anxiety then it is not the right medication for you and your current situation. On Monday don't just call to get an appointment but mention that your medications are not working and to schedule for the first available appointment. My doctor's office will look through all the doctor's appointment books to find the soonest opening if they know that medication's aren't working. There are many options towards Anxiety medications and it may require some trial and error, very few people find the right med and dosage on the first try but by the second and third tries the right med has been found so don't give up hope.

    I have no experience with PPD but my anxiety lessened when i was on ativan/lorazapam.  if i felt the anxiety coming on i would take it and feel so much more relaxed afterwards.  i'm on zoloft now for pregnancy since the ativan was bad for baby and it seems to be helping so far.

    Same as the pp.  The zoloft seems to be working well for me.  Hang in there, darlin.

    Thanks girls. They put me on Celexa (40mg) on saturday and took me straight off prozac since it can actually make anxiety worse (gee thanks). I had trouble sleeping since saturday so I called today and they lowered me to 20 mg(sounds much better). Now I can actually feel the clozepam work since the prozac was cancelling it out they said. Love my GP. Been going there for 20 years so they even told me to call tomorrow to check in and said we will do that everyday till we find the right cocktail! LOL. I have faith in this one tho. wish me luck. hope u all are doin great
