For those of you who have been diagnosed what where you prescribed and how fast did it work for you? My doctor is starting me and 50mg of zoloft she said it can take up to 4 weeks to work. Just wondering if this worked for anyone else and if they had any side effects?

    at 3 weeks pp my doctor perscribe 10mg lexapro. i gradually started feeling better, but honestly i don't think that's because of the drugs as much as just dealing with everything better.

    eta: i did not notice any side effect.

    I was put on 10mg Lexapro and I felt better in about a week and a half. I know it helps me because I forgot to pick up the prescription and didnt have it for 3 days and I was a weepy mess again.

    I was on 25 mg zoloft for a week then switched to prozac (20 mg) for 5 weeks when we saw it didnt work they upped me to 40 mg and I had horrible side effects. So now Im on 20 mg celexa which is a great choice for me because of my anxiety. Sometimes it takes a few weeks but zoloft is very common to have success so if your not feeling any bad effects yet it will probably take to you well. Good luck!! PM if you ever need to talk.
