So I officially resigned.

I am staying home full time.  I think it will take a while to really hit me.  I started working in my church rectory at 13 and have been employed since.  It feels weird but mostly very, very lucky.

    Glad to hear that you are able to SAH. I SAH part time (I work evenings and weekends on a p/t basis) and I love being home with DS during the day. My advice is to try and get out at least once a week. It can be lonely if you stay home all the time. Go for a walk outside or at the mall. Just be around other people...it is a big help.

    Thanks for the encouragement!  I'm going to join the MOMS group in my area.  I'm so glad they have one here.  And I'm checking out a Breastfeeding support group on Wednesday.  I am a loner and shy so I need to be dragged out of my shell.  I'm going to work on it before I get too used to being home all day.  I could easily become a recluse but I have this little guy to think about - I don't want him to be like that!

    I did the same thing last month. It was really hard as that was the only place I had ever worked since graduating college. It was my home, but I am so glad I did it. It is so great for both of us for me to be home with her.

    I'm going back to work for 2 or 3 months before I can resign.  Still going back and forth if I really want to.

    I haven't been physically to work since April.  Not looking forward to starting the commute! (I'm in central NJ too and at the mercy of NJ transit)

    Me: PCOs DH: Perfect!

    2-3 months is a nice trial period to help you decide. The commut just made it impossible for me to even consider. I was taking the bus and it's 3 hours a day at least. I hope everything works out for you either way. But I think it's a nice area to be home in - lots to do if I can sway you in this direction. ;)
