I met a lady at the mall today whose twin boys were named Brady and Brody. I mean, I usually don't have a problem with matchy-matchy names (my twins are Hannah and Henry) but these names are only one letter apart!
I didn't even like that Grayson and Gibson both have "son" at the end of their names- but it just happened to be the 2 names we liked best (and we do the all G thing in our houes - all 5 of us have G names - we're dorks, lol). But we call them Gray and Gibby - so it isn't matchy on a daily basis... but brody and brady = way too matchy to me... to each his/her own i guess!
No way. Nor would I name them Bryan and Ryan, or Dustin and Justin. The names of 2 sets of twin boys that were in school with my twin brothers (who happen to be Brian and Justin). LOL. Those poor teachers in that elementary school never knew what hit them.
No I wouldn't, too close. I have cousins named Rhonda and Vonda, too close to me too. Oh, and my step-dad and his brother are Michael and Richard, but they've always gone by Mickey and Dickey
Definitely NMS at all. But who am I to say what someone should name their children? My sisters are Kelly and Kara, but when we found out we were having twins, we didn't want matching names at all. They're their own people. That's why we settled on Tessa and Avery, to top it all off, they look nothing alike!
No way! I think names THAT matchy sound totally cheesy and dated (kind of 1950s-ish--twins named Cindy and Sandy, Tim and Tom, etc.), not to mention confusing.
LOL. Our toddler is Brody and we have had names that sound even somewhat similar eliminated because it sounds strange. It's pretty silly IMO to do that to your twins. That's wayyy to close!
Admittedly i am guilty of only being 2 letters off but i have B/G twins and the actual names dont sound that matchy... Michael & Michaella (Mi-Kay-La) We usually just call them Mikey and Kayla.
But i would definately not to same sex twins that close! Am i an oxymoron?

LOL. I have to say that since they are the same name (just male versus female version) then yes, I think you are. Though if they go by Mikey and Kayla, that's not bad at all.
It's to close. I think even though they're twins, they still need their own identity....that's just way to close and people will always mess up their names.

Ironically enough, no. I would not. My SIL already called those names in the event that she has twins!
