I'm on day 36 of my cycle and I believe I just ovulated like 3 days ago. Even after I ovulate my temp only goes up for like 2-3 days and then back down, but my period typically doesn't start until about a week later. WTH? Before my pregnancy, my cycles were consistently 30-31 days, now they're anywhere from 35-45. It's super annoying because I'll have like 10-15 days of fertility signs before I actually ovulate...and EWCM is pretty gross to deal with for that long.
I am still BFing 2x per day. Maybe that has something to do with it? Any ideas/insights would be helpful. TIA!
Re: Anyone have really long cycles?
I had long cycles before getting pregnant the first time - I think my BFP cycle was over 40 days. Are you saying your temps fall back below your coverline? That suggests something is wonky - maybe you aren't ovulating, just gearing up for it? Or it could be that nursing is throwing your temps off.
Either way, long cycles aren't uncommon. It might be that breastfeeding is causing it, or it might be just your new "normal." It is definitely possible to get pregnant on long cycles though - although I agree, they are highly annoying!
