anyone know how to convert a vhs to dvd?

i have a 28 week 4d ultrasound with my doctor scheduled, and the higher priced package includes a vhs tape with it. problem is, we do not own a vhs player, so i wondered if anyone knows how to create a dvd from the vhs? i googled it and it seems you have to have a converter?? any suggestions? i could always go with the less expensive package, but i would love to have a video!
