Just wondering if anyone else had this problem. We ordered the crib and dressing table set in walnut. Put up the crib on Friday, and it looks great! But today DH opened up the dressing table -- and it's espresso, rather than walnut! Argh!! I double checked our online order, and we did order walnut for both.
So I called Target.com, and guess what? The walnut is completely out of stock. They offered me a refund, which would not work, because the dressing table was free, and I had to explain that to them. Then they wanted to discount my transaction and let me keep the same, non-matching table. Finally they said they will contact me when the correct color is back in stock and let me swap them out.
I'm so aggravated! They sent the wrong thing, but I'm the one having to go through this huge hassle to get it sorted out.
Just wondering if anyone else had the same issue. If you haven't looked at your colors yet, you may want to double check them, especially if you ordered the walnut!
Re: Graco table from Target is wrong color!
That really sucks! Hopefully the table will come in soon and it will be swapped out. I would be very annoyed with the whole thing.
You are still ahead of me though. We haven't looked at anything baby related or even started talking about names. We've done nothing! I did buy 2 pairs of maternity pants and 2 bebands but that is it. I know this sounds so dumb but I'm still having a hard time believing I'm pregnant. I'm still so afraid that something will go wrong and then I'll have all these baby things staring at me. I'm so ashamed of my stupidity!

I'm glad we didn't order it, because it would be a HUGE hassle for us- we live in canada, so would have had to have it shipped to my parents, and it would probably have been a while before we opened it (when we finally visit them) and by then, it would probbaly be rediculously too late to address it. We would have ordered the maple as well.
I would think that you would be slightly understand, that people want their nursery sets to match! I would think they would just send a rain check kinda deal if they didn't have the color, or say you could have it in one of the other colors if you didn't want to wait. That is what's annoying. You'd think they would have expected this to be a big sale with lots of buyers so they would have stocked up.
@stellarstina Actually, I am well within my rights to be annoyed. I spent $200 to get a crib and a dressing table. I ordered the correct thing and was informed that the item I ordered had shipped. If they did not have the correct item, they should have informed me of that, not shipped me the wrong thing. Then when I asked them to correct this, I got the run-around. I worked in retail for years (and retail management for a short period), and I know poor customer service when I see it. Would have been a different story if what I wanted was out of stock when I ordered it, but I was promised an item, and my order was not fulfilled.
Ouch! At least they're attempting to make it right, ya know?
Same here! Walnut and Espresso were completely out, so I ordered Natural. I'm checking mine as soon as I get home!!
