So are you going to announce on facebook that you're pregnant?!
I don't
know if I will...probably not. I will announce that the baby is born haha. I'd love
all the attention but as fun as that is, I wouldn't enjoy announcing sad
news and there is always that risk. What do you think?

My next appointment is next week at 11w5d. After the appointment, if the heart beat sounds strong, I will let my husband, parents, and sister announce on their FBs. They've all been itching to let the cat out of the bag.
I probably won't personally announce it, but their announcements will send people over to my page with Congrats. That's fine by me.
I will after the first trimester.. I learned from a friend who announced hers very early. It was heartbreaking for her when people kept facebooking her and asking how the baby was doing and she had to answer back that she lost it at 11 weeks.
We FB announced last year at 11 weeks after having a successful appointment and seeing the baby and hb on an ultrasound. 1 week later I went for my NT scan and found out the baby had passed in the last week. I had a missed miscarriage due to a possible chromosone abnormality. That mc was so hard to post but the overwhelming support and prayers from everyone helped me get through it.
I am VERY cautious about doing it this time though... WIll definately wait until 13 weeks at the least... may wait until anatomy scan too. Only time will tell.
I already announced it by just putting a picture up that says we are expecting. Some people haven't noticed a thing others are slowly seeing it. It's been interesting to say the least.
Yes....after the NT scan.
A
This exactly!
I'm from a small town so word will spread quickly enough without putting it on facebook. So many of my facebook 'friends' are people that I don't see or talk to anymore so I don't really care if they know I'm pregnant. I also had a m/c in May and am so glad that I hadn't said anything on fb, I don't need all those people knowing my business. I plan to tell or call all of my extended family and my friends sometime after first tri.
LOL. Guess you didn't see this:

Um, yeah, people are still using Facebook.
As for me, I won't announce on Facebook. I don't have a million friends, but I'll probably tell the people who I truly care to know in person. Everyone else can find out when I post pictures.
my Dr. told me not to put it it on fb yet. we have not told our parent's yet... waiting to tell them in person and when both are here,.. two weeks... I am waiting at until I am at 10 weeks to tell most of our friends..We know too many people that told everyone than had m/c during the first trimester... so I think it is a bit too early..
As far as fb goes maybe when we find out the gender.

Ditto for me, I've deleted people I don't really talk to and am really selective about who I add, so only people I am close with should see the announcement.
