what to do here?

we are not really working with ds right now. He has a potty and we try to get him to sit on it. If I notice him pulling on his diaper I say "we need to change your diaper? did you pee?" But he's not very interested. They put him on the potty at daycare twice a day and do diaper changes in the bathroom so he has learned "poo poo".

well today he says poo poo and runs in the bathroom and is trying to get his clothes off to sit on the potty. I was shocked, so I helped him. He sat down for 2 seconds, flushed the little handle that makes noise and got up.

Once we got a diaper back on him, he pooped.  argh!!

Is this just fasication with the potty? I mean, was it coincidence that he pooped right after?

Do I potty with a bell and whistle thats distracting? I also got him a potty seat to sit on the potty like at school, but he doesnt like that either.

    I bribe my daughter with an M&M to sit on the potty.  At this point she doesn't tell me all the time when she has to go..so I usually just ask her to sit on the potty about every half hour and sometimes she goes and sometimes she doesn't...but we are at the point where it's hard to pull her away from what she's doing to get her to sit on the potty.  I figure rewarding her just to sit there is great! so far so good...Oh yah- She wears training panties all day at home and a pull-up for nap and bedtime.
