Reebok RUntones

Just wanted some opinions on these shoes... I bought them a few weeks ago and seem to like them so far... but I am now hearing from other people who have owned them they cause back problems and other things???  Should I keep running with them??  How have they worked for you?

Re: Reebok RUntones

  • I wouldn't doubt that they cause some sort of back or leg joint problems.  I honestly wouldn't run in them.  They seem like a marketing ploy for lazy people to get in shape fast.  If you're running- you don't need them.  Runner's World has put out their Fall Shoe Guide if you're looking for a new pair.

  • I agree. All of these types of shoes seem bizarre to me and frankly like a bit of a marketing scam. I suppose I could see walking in them as the impact would be less, but as a runner, I would avoid them. With high impact activities like running, any changes that affects your gait and/or stride can easily cause injury and these shoes would definitely appear to do just that. I don't think it would be worth the risk to me. My favorite running shoes are Brooks Ghost and Asics Kayano.

  • I wish I could find one now, but I've read a bunch of articles on different fitness sites saying that the shoes do absolutely nothing,  They are basically the newest marketing ploy that all of the shoe companies decided to partake in.
