Escape from the Bumbo?

My LO has started pushing out his legs while in the Bumbo.  It almost looks as if he is trying to get himself out of it.  Anyone else experienced this?

    Ya DS arches his back and tries to escape.. I think he may just do it eventually...

    Yup. DD makes her body completely stiff and rigid and she completely lifts herself out of the seat.

    DD does this all the time. I just gave up on the bumbo altogether.

    I was going to ask about this.  Bri arches her back when in it and I was wondering if it's possible for them to get out of the chair by themselves... I know anything is possible, just wondering how likely that is

    She arches almost immediately when we put her in.  Either that or leans over trying to see what's on the floor:

    We've hardly used it because she can't be trusted!

    This is exactly what my DS is doing. And he used to love it but now that he is the age he can use it he hates it.

    Same here. DS has never actually "escaped" lol. But, as soon as I put him in, he kinda pulls one leg into the chair and sits to the side. Checking everything out and trying to touch anything that is near him. He will not sit normal in it! And, When he decides that he is "done" with the chair He does that stiff leg- arch the back-GET Me the HECK OUTTA HERE thing.
