I just wanted to formally introduce myself! I gave birth via unplanned c/s to my son Lucas James on September 2nd. We are slowly getting to know each other and are beginning to establish a "routine" that pretty much consists of very little sleep for me! The past nine days have been very difficult as I have had trouble with emotions. They are only compounded by the fact that Lucas was diagnosed with a heart defect (VSD), which should resolve itself but is still scary. We are learning to breastfeed, which has been trying but we are pushing through. I hope to become an active member of the board as time goes by. Until then, I hope you won't mind me stopping in every now and then when I get a chance!

Congrats on turning team green to team blue! Welcome to you and Lucas.
I remember that in the first few weeks, I cried at absolutely everything. The emotions were a whirlwind, and BFing is a challenge you can't prepare for until you're in the thick of it, but it does get easier. And there are lactation consultants who will do home visits if you find you need some support there.
GL with the VSD. I'm sure that is scary, but good to hear that it's something that will resolve itself in time.
Stop by when you're up for it and try to get some sleep whenever you can. (((hugs)))
