I don't know how many of you ladies are perfume freaks like I am, but I FINALLY made it over to Bloomingdales last night to hunt down my long-awaiting lust - Thierry Mugler's Womanity.
If you're into strong perfumes, I think you'd love this one. Its scent is compost of fig, fig wood, and caviar (yea, sounds awful, but seriously, I'm in loooove). It's sweet, sexy, and woodsy all in one.
I belong to the "Angel Circle" and get to preview their new scents before they come out and I'm thiiiiis close to getting my big prize for however many perfumes I've bought (I plug the codes on the inside into my login on their website). I got this sample in the mail a few months ago and had to actually wait until it came out. It came out a little while ago, but I haven't had the chance to make it over to bloomies till yesterday.
This perfume is along the same lines as Angel, Christian Dior's Addict and I even smell a little Amber Romance in it... (I'm thinking from its woodsy smell).
Angel, Angel Sunessence, Addict and Fancy are my favorites (and now definitely this one).
What are some of your favorites? What do you recommend?
Re: Review of New Perfume
Sounds like I would love it!
I haven't bought perfume in forever, but one of my faves right now is Light Blue by D&G. I'm also a big fan of Amor by Cacharel- but it's $$$. My old standby used to be Hot Couture by Givenchy & I also own a SIGNED bottle of SJP's Lovely. I got to meet her when she released the perfume at Macy's State Street in Chicago!
I haven't worn perfume since getting pregnant because my sense of smell has been CRAZY STRONG. Everything is magnified x 100.
But, my favorite perfume is Gwen Stegani's Harajuku Lover's line, in Lil' Angel. It's fruity with a hint of florals. I like fruity smells more than musks or heavy scents.
I originally bought the perfume for our wedding but now I love wearing it as an every day perfume (well, until 18 weeks ago)...since it brings me back to Jamaica and our wedding day.

Now I really need to smell this perfume!
Viva La Juicy by Juicy Couture has been my fave for about a year now, but I haven't worn anything since Reese was born because I'm worried that it will irritate her. Maybe it's time to try it to see if it bothers her...
