Pregnant after a Loss

AW: I just bought maternity pants!

My work pants started to get really tight this week. I had to suck in just to button them, so it was time. Thank goodness for the Old Navy sale! Plus, I had to get a size smaller than my normal size and put them on the smallest setting so there's still plenty room for me to grow! Woohoo!! It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought. The only downside was that they didn't have the black pants in my size Sad I had to get khaki (which are going to get so dirty).

  • Yay!  Just wait until you have to replace your entire wardrobe. Indifferent

  • Yay for maternity pants...boo for no black ones! Can you order them online now that you know what size you're in?

I'm getting there! I have a pair of stretchy work out pants that I wear just about all the time around the house. All of my shorts are getting tight, but summer is almost over. I have one pair of jeans that still fit and I might live in them once it's not 100 degrees outside. I'm kind of freaked out to buy bigger clothes Tongue Tied I never go anywhere except work so it seems like a waste to buy regular clothes. I hardly ever go anywhere that requires "nicer" clothes.

Yeah that's probably what I'll do. I might try to hit up another Old Navy (there are 3 pretty close to our house, thankfully) before I do that though.

I lived in a pair of gaucho pants for about a month straight at one point. :)  I didn't get any "nice" clothes either.  Thank goodness I'm not working now, or I would've needed them and that would've really gotten pricey!  I also just bought a bunch of regular clothes in size L or XL, which seemed to be cheaper than buying all maternity clothes.  (I got several plain long sleeved shirts from Old Navy in different colors.)  They're nothing special, but they do their job!

  • Uh...I already need maternity pants. How did you hold out this long? How did I bloat this badly?

:::eyes Arby's sandwhich and moz sitcks, which for some reason are the only food staying down:::

    Oh, right.

I don't know, honestly. I eat like crap (I basically live off Wendy's and Taco Bell). I've only gained *whispers* 4 pounds. I'm like a freak of nature.

Don't feel too bad- My pants stopped zipping up at 8 weeks.  I planned on waiting until 12 weeks to tell the kids/families at my school about my pregnancy, but had to at 10 weeks because I had already gained so much weight.  I noticed everyone giving me the side eye, and I only had so many clothes that would cover it up.

I had only gained 4 pounds-ish at about 16 weeks-ish.  That all changed when I went to the dr. this week and they had to move the scale from the 100 marker to the 150 marker.  I almost passed out

Good thing my doctor uses a digital scale. I might just stop looking soon though.

  • It's funny, because black pants are absolutely horrid for me.  They hide the stains, but the animal hair gets ridiculous!

But yay for maternity pants!  It's a great milestone . . . pretty soon, you'll be a lucky lady and nothing will fit ;)  !
