xp: sharp pain in the ute?

I've had a few of what I think would be RLP when stretching, sneezing etc., but this is different. for the last 2-3 days, I've sort of had a fairly consistent ache on the left side of my ute - only the left side. every now and then I'll get sharper pain in that same area that will last for just a second or two.

normal? any ideas what it could be?

  • I have no idea what it is, but maybe it's stretch/ligament pain.  I'm usually not super cautious, but I'd give you're dr. a call.

  • I've had this for a couple weeks. At the ultrasound a few days ago, the tech told me I had a couple really small cysts on my left ovary, which is normal because of all the hormones. She didn't seem concerned, but told me if I'd been feeling a bit tender on that side, that it might be why.

If you go for an ultrasound, make sure they're looking at the old ovaries!

  • Could just be more RLP.  It sucks! :(

  • could be the corpos luteum cyst (that releases the progesterone until placenta takes over).  I have the same thing and a friend says hers went away after 12 weeks.
  • I have the same thing - a super sharp pain that fades right away - on my right side. They told me it's RLP. I also have several cysts on both ovaries (from the Gonal-F) that can cause tenderness as well.

Unless you are doubled over or bleeding, I wouldn't worry too much. Drink lots of fluids, and take it easy!
