Today is nearly one week since my little Maya was born. We tried our swaddleme last night and it worked really well. I've had ALMOST 7 hours of sleep in the past 12 hours.
I've been asking about hemrhoids and tears. They're not great, but time will be the only real help, I suppose. My question today is - did anyone feel bouts of queasiness? Last night I was in the middle of a late dinner and suddenly couldn't eat anymore. I just got really tired and queasy.
I just got up from a 1 hour nap and am waiting for the LO to wake up to eat and I'm suddenly pooped and queasy again.
Anyone else? I hope nothing is getting infected and the queasiness is just related to being tired.
Re: 6 days PP - nauseous anyone?
Congrats on baby Maya! Witch hazel can be soothing for stitches and roids. The queasiness could definitely be related to being tired. My appetite was non-existant for a week after DD is born. Make sure that you are eating as healthy as you can with a newborn around. If you aren't taking iron, eating red meat might help.
The first few weeks are rough, but it definitely gets easier.

I was really nauseous on and off for about a week after DS was born.
After his birth, the placenta wouldn't detach, so they had to really drug me up and the doctor had to go in and get it. I attributed my sickness to all those drugs, but who knows. I just remember it was not a fun feeling!!
Hope you feel better soon.
Yeah, remember you're hormones are crashing. You've had a major work-out and adrenaline rush. It takes days to recover from work-outs like labor.
This is all normal. Eat as much as you can and DRINK WATER as much as possible! Relax and be lazy as much as possible.
You'll feel better soon!
Congrats on Maya!!!
